Together for Autism Gala

The Budapest Operetta Theatre considers it a priority tosupport people with autism in creating and living a more fulfilling life. As has now become tradition, the theatre will once again organize a gala concert in aid of the Together for Autistic People Foundation. The program will feature the most popular and beloved operetta and musical excerpts, performed by the stars of the Operetta Theatre. The production is directed by Tamás Bori, with musical accompaniment by the Budapest Operetta Theatre Orchestra. The event is co-organized by István Simon, the theatre’s cultural manager, ballet artist, and ballet master.

A few thoughts on autism:

Ellen Notbohm, internationally acclaimed author, writes inher book Ten Things Every Child with Autism Wishes You Knew: I am first and foremost a child. I have autism. I am not primarily "autistic." My autism is only one aspect of my total character. It does not define me as a person. I am a person with thoughts, feelings and many talents. Work to view my autism as a different ability rather than a disability.
